Early 2020, the Scouts organisation put in place brand guidelines to go along with their new visual identity. The website that was used by the Scout group that I spent ~12 years at was in desperate need of an update – Not only to meet these new guidelines but to just in general.
I was given 2 requirements by the Group Leader for the website. 1 – Meet the brand guidelines and make use of the available media resources for that. 2 – Make sure the information on the website is up-to-date and make the site easy for the members of the group to maintain. This was done using a CMS (WordPress to be precise) to manage the content of the website and to aid those who want to add to the website.
